Corinth

Hi Friends!
It was our 2nd day here in Greece! We had an incredible day filled with prayer, worship, history and food.  We started the day out with an hour and a half bus ride to Corinth where we sang worship almost the whole way. The bus driver was tapping along to the beat, haha.  We were preparing our hearts and minds for a place in history where Paul reasoned and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks every Sabbath in the synagogue.  Seeing the ruins puts you in a place that you’ve never been before. Not only are they huge pieces of ancient history, but a monumental place where many Corinthians believed Paul and were baptized.  This is also where we get 1st and 2nd Corinthians! We sat down in a shady area and Pastor Ryan taught us about the area, and what it says in the Bible about Corinth.  We took turns reading out loud scriptures and later separated to find our own areas to meditate on our lives and the place where we are, and where God wants us to be.
Afterwards, we returned to the hotel, freshened up and had some down time then headed out to a beautiful restaurant that overlooked the Acropolis.  By the end of dinner we found ourselves walking around a lively night in Athens trying to solve riddles.  We got gelato and on our way back to the metro we saw a big group near the station rioting. They were very mellow. They had their tents set up, banners strewn across trees, trying to make a point to their government, while some of us were arm in arm, (me taking pictures, haha) where we made it to the metro and back to our hotel.
Tomorrow we visit the Acropolis. More to come. Thanks for following our journey in GreeceJ
